TAKING THE MIC..CRONEY'S NEW BOOK!
After 25 very average years at Granada Television, Croney has decided to put pen to paper in a 'kiss n'tell' autobiography. Well that was the plan.
Four pages into the book, he realised it might be rather boring, so instead he has compiled a selection of his favourite photos into a book entitled 'Taking the Mic.' [yes, very clever.]
Every single penny from the book will go to the North West Air Ambulance charity. So order your copy now at just £9.99 from the air ambulance website shop on www.northwestairambulance.com
The book is available to buy now.
Croney's amazing Cross Channel attempt in May ended in smiles and very very very very sore limbs!
Five months of hard training culminated in the day trip to France with a difference. 25 gruelling miles all to raise money for the North West Air Ambulance.
Well done Doug and Paul and of course their trusty kayaks
I'm was in a 17 ft sea kayak which is named Solway Lass 2. The journey took up to ten hours! & I encountered sea sickness, huge waves, deep vein thrombosis, extreme fatigue, sunstroke, wavelash and hypothermia!!
The Channel is the busiest shipping lane in the world with 500 very big boats and ferries on it!
I did it for the North West Air Ambulance to raise £20,000.
t's the most dangerous thing I've done, and my three London Marathons look like a doddle compared to this. We will go from Dover to the Coast of France, clamber onto French soil and then get a lift back home in the support boat.
Also kayaking with me i was Granada colleague Doug Brown in his kayak, 'Canoe's You Daddy!
